The Vicina Family

Ristorante Casa Vicina, already a Michelin star in 2023, encapsulates over 120 years of history Vicina family, all under the banner of a continuous pursuit of excellence that unites tradition and innovation. The current owners of the restaurant are Stefano Vicina, Claudio Vicina and his wife Anna Mastroianni. For some years now, Claudio and Anna's daughters have also joined the team: Laura (Front of House and Social Media Manager) and Silvia (Junior Pastry Chef). The Vicina family is supported in the kitchen by Alessandro Passini – Junior Sous Chef, and in the dining room by Stefano D’Elia – Front of House and Wine Service.

The history of the Vicina family

Everything begins in 1902, when Pietro Giovanni Battista Vicina Mazzaretto he opened his first coaching inn in Ivrea, beginning the Vicina family's history.

From then on, the passion is passed on from father to son. Each one not only takes care of the management and implementation of the restaurant but also adds his or her own personal touch, culminating in the “Casa Vicina” project in 1980.

Over time, Roberto, Pietro's grandson, and his wife Bruna decided to give a more distinct stamp to the family business, following their instincts and passion. Among the most representative interpretations is the Bagna Cauda offered by Vicina as “Drinking Bagna Cauda.

In January 2007, the restaurant moved to Eataly Lingotto in Turin. Next, moves to the 3rd floor of the Green Retail Park “Green Pea” from December 2020” devised by the Farinetti family. A choice that represents a further act of trust and esteem between Claudio Vicina and Oscar Farinetti, which began in 2007 with his joining Eataly Lingotto.

Today it's about a new challenge for us, who have been restaurateurs for 120 years and for 5 generations.
